Everything for an app lives in its project: screenshots, icon, store listing, and the details AI works from. Design by hand, bring in AI when it helps, and keep control of the result.
Create a projectStart a project
A project is one app. Give it a name, choose the App Store, Google Play or both, and say in a sentence what it does. Drop in real screenshots if you have them — they wait in the project, ready to design with.
Find your way around
Projects → project → screenshot set → editor. Every project has four areas: Screenshots, Icon, Store listing and App details. Open a set to design it in the editor, and its back arrow returns you to the project. Continue editing jumps straight to the set you worked on last.
Design your screenshots
Add text, shapes, images or a device from the editor’s toolbar, select anything to change it in the Design panel, and arrange it in Layers. The strip along the bottom holds every screen: click to jump, drag to reorder, + to add. The size and language chips add store sizes and languages.
Create with AI
Open AI (⌘J) to design a new screen as editable layers or as one finished image, build a full set in one style, or change the current screen or selection. Review the result, then add or apply it — nothing changes until you do, and one step undoes it. Each completed request uses 2 AI credits.
Make your icon
In Icon, describe your icon or pick a style and generate a few concepts. Compare them, use the one you like, then refine it or ask for variations. Rather make it yourself? Start from a letter, a blank tile or your own artwork. Preview it on a home screen and in the App Store, then download the icon pack — every iOS, Android and web size.
Write your store listing
Store listing holds your App Store and Google Play text — name, subtitle, keywords, description — in each language you add. It saves as you type and flags anything over a store’s limit. Write with AI drafts the empty fields or improves what’s there, and every suggestion waits for you to use it.
Tell AI about your app
App details is what AppStage’s AI knows about your app: what it does, who it’s for, what makes it different, and its tone. AI reads it for headlines, screens, icons and listing text, so a few honest sentences here make every result fit your app better.
Export for the stores
In the editor, Export → Download screenshots gives you PNG or JPEG at each store’s exact sizes, for the screens and languages you choose. Pre-flight checks catch problems before you upload, and Publish sends a set straight to App Store Connect. Your icon pack downloads from Icon.
A few useful details
What’s the difference between a project and a screenshot set?
A project is your app: its icon, store listing and details. A screenshot set is one collection of store screenshots inside it — say, one for the App Store and one for Google Play, or one per release. Each set opens in the editor.
Will my work be saved?
Yes. The editor saves as you work, and its save indicator shows when the cloud is up to date; if your connection drops, recent edits are kept in this browser until you reconnect. Store listing and App details save as you type, too.
Can I undo an AI result?
Yes. Adding or applying a result is one undo step. If you keep editing a screen while AI changes it, your edits win: the result shows what would overwrite them and applies only the rest unless you choose otherwise.
What uses an AI credit?
Each completed AI request uses 2 AI credits — a new screen, a change, a translation or a listing draft — including one you decide not to use. Requests that fail or that you cancel are free, and designing by hand or exporting never uses credits. Icon concepts come from their own allowance of icon batches, one per batch. AI style explorations and automated listings also have separate allowances. The account menu and Plans & billing show what’s left.
Which image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPEG and WebP images up to 20 MB. Use a screenshot from your actual app and remove personal information before uploading it.
